As an actress, Dierdre is a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and the Actors’ Equity Association (AEA). Dierdre just finished her first Brodway show: “Leap of Faith,” music by Alan Menken; directed by Christopher Ashley (Memphis). Other roles include: Sandy on Season Six of HBO's "The Sopranos;" “My Father’s Will” (with Ron Silver); “Pretty Bird” (with Paul Giamatti & Billy Crudup) (Sundance Grand Jury Prize nominee); Sr. Mary Patrick in the premier reading of "Sister Act: the Musical" (with Alan Menken); and Sr. James in John Patrick Shanley’s “Doubt.” In 2004, she was nominated by the Manhattan Association of Cabarets for Outstanding Female Debut for her one-woman show. Dierdre has studied and performed at Shakespeare's Globe Theater in London and graduated from Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts with her B.F.A. in Acting.
As a musical director, Dierdre been conducting, arranging, and writing music for groups throughout the tri-state area for over fifteen years. As a teaching professional, she has had the opportunity to work with children and adults of all ages. Working with prestigious programs like: the Rutgers Theater Conservatory, the Center for Creative Alternatives, and Disney Theatrical. She has directed & musically directed more shows than she can accurately count, including several world premier productions.
